Laura Farré Rozada

Laura Farré Rozada is an award-winning pianist and mathematician, deemed a ‘Rising Star’ by BBC Music Magazine and a ‘New Talent’
Award-winning pianist and mathematician Laura Farré Rozada presents her project Nimbus. Featuring works by Pierre Jodlowski, Unsuk Chin, Toru Takemitsu, Josep Maria Guix, Maurice Ravel, Anna Thorvaldsdóttir, Dai Fujikura and Yixuan Zhao, this is the second part of her debut The French Reverie, which completes a tribute to the composer Olivier Messiaen (1908-1992) and the French repertoire of the 20th and 21st centuries. The purpose of the Nimbus project is to introduce the possibilities of classical-contemporary piano to the general public, as well as the connections between music and mathematics through fractals. The repertoire consists of a cyclical conceptual program, which has as its guiding thread the metamorphosis of water and its creative possibilities, structured by the presence of fractals in nature.
