Meeting Between European Independent Ensembles

Mapping the independent ensembles, a survey at the European level.

Independent music ensembles play a significant role in promoting musical diversity, fostering collaboration across borders, showcasing the shared heritage of European classical music, and creating new repertoire by incorporating contemporary compositions. Through their innovative approach, performances, workshops, and educational initiatives, they participate in shaping a collective European identity.

The Meetup session represents a first step in establishing a platform for sharing resources and experiences, information on administrative and technical issues, and to support the development of independent projects throughout Europe.

During this meeting, three national federations of independent ensembles, Ambitus from Belgium, FEVIS from France and FREO from Germany will survey how the independent music ensembles sector is represented at a European level.
