Can Classical Labels Expect Better Revenues from DSP’s ?

How can they achieve this and get the ball rolling?

Almost everyone agrees that streaming revenues, and to a certain extent, the way DSP's present classical music, are often unsatisfactory. The aim of this panel is to ask the tough questions, without taboos, and above all, to try to find answers to this question: what can we do to change this?

Yves Riesel, who distributed CDs in France for almost 30 years before creating the Qobuz streaming service, has long been a staunch advocate for addressing the challenge of classical record revenues in the age of streaming defending the view that subsidies or sponsorship are not enough, and that record producers need to find their own resources in order to be able to follow their profession freely and fairly.
