Kian Jazdi is a musician and project designer based in Hamburg. He is the co-founder and artistic co-director of the Liedstadt Festival, which debute in Hamburg in October 2024, with over 50 curated song events. Jazdi advises cultural institutions on diversity, new formats, and community engagement, and serves on the advisory board of Netzwerk Junge Ohren and the jury for Hamburg’s Project Fund for Culture & Schools.
He teaches at mdw in Vienna, focusing on leadership and guiding in the arts, and leads the international summer academy Community. His projects explore transcultural intersections and focus on representation in the arts. Jazdi’s musical background spans classical music, analog synthesizers, and influences from Iranian music. Upcoming collaborations include KaiserRequiem at the Volksoper Vienna and his independent production MIGRANTENEXPRESS in Hamburg. He has worked with leading cultural institutions such as the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg Ballet, and Dresden Philharmonic.
