The opusXX generator: your intelligent repertoire assistant

Harnessing AI to promote diversity in classical music concert programming

OpusXX presents an intelligent research assistant to help musicians and institutions integrate works by women composers in their concert programming.

Since its founding in 2018, OpusXX has taken on a range of activities to rectify the under-representation of women’s works in classical music. Our current project aims to propagate a sustainable change in the industry through the creation of an intuitive and engaging interface that helps individuals and institutions to identify repertoire by women composers tailored to their concert programming needs. The OpusXX generator is an AI-driven research assistant that streamlines the process of identifying suitable repertoire to create unique programs, helping with repertoire discovery, integration in a balanced program and sourcing of scores and resources. Providing users with an engaging way to delve into the fascinating and largely overlooked classical repertoire by women composers, our tool helps musicians attract new audiences by creating distinctive and engaging concert programs.
