Bridging Education and Industry: Innovation, Inclusion and the Digi-Shift

As the role of musicians evolves, Higher Music Education Institutions (HMEIs) are adapting to prepare students for success as socially responsible leaders. This session explores how to bridge education and industry and will present the work achieved in this regard from the side of HME, within the ARTEMIS project coordinated by the European Association of Conservatoires.

The panel will present trends in relation to curricular innovation in HMEIs and highlight key priorities, including the digital shift in music education, lifelong learning and inclusiveness, all through a student-centred lens. Following a brief presentation with thought-provoking questions, the speakers will lead an interactive discussion, allowing participants to share insights and develop concrete approaches for a better connection between education and the industry to implement these strategies in their institutions.
