New and natural approaches to classical music

Unlocking new dimensions with immersive hyperreal sound

This two-hour session explores the creative and experiential potential of immersive hyperreal sound in classical and classically inspired music.

The first hour features a panel discussion with artists, producers, and spatial audio practitioners, including playback of two works developed with L-Acoustics L-ISA technology, followed by a Q&A. The second hour presents a guided playback of the world premiere recording of the Swiss National Orchestra in Rome (2024), offering a rare opportunity to experience orchestral music in spatial audio. The session examines how immersive sound restores orchestral spatiality, enriches performance, and opens new compositional possibilities.

This session is supported by L-Acoustics.
