The concert program is an expressive experience between geographical and acoustic borders, merging influences from the Middle East and contemporary music with the electronic sound language of Berlin. On stage, trumpet and grand piano are enhanced with a variety of effects and presented in a unique dimension of sound with an electronic foundation.
Simon Höfele has quickly established himself as one of the most prominent trumpeters of his generation. As a soloist Simon regularly performs internationally with leading orchestras including Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, among others. Simon is the 2024/25 Artist in Residence of the Jenaer Philharmonie giving several performances across the season.
Kaan Bulak moves between cultures and scenes. Bulak’s music has been performed on stages such as the Zurich Opera House, Philharmonie Berlin, Sónar Istanbul and Verbier Festival. Following residencies at ZKM Karlsruhe and Cité des Arts Paris, Bulak lives and works in Berlin where he runs the audiovisual art label and studio Feral Note.
