It’s the society, stupid!

How to counteract brain drain and skills shortage

NJO stands for innovation and change in (classical) music. It provides space for thought and development, inspiring new concepts for cultural practice. It advises and inspires the classical music scene according to its motto “Musical life at the pulse of society”.

As the largest network for music outreach in the German-speaking world, it brings together stakeholders from diverse backgrounds in the classical music world who are committed to openness, diversity and inclusion in the cultural sector.

On the basis of a recent survey on working conditions in music mediation in the D-A-C-H region, we look forward to discussing how to counteract the brain drain and skills shortage threatening the industry, so that music life can play a strong role in a pluralistic society.
