Independent labels for the win!

Tailor-made solutions to let flexibility and creativity thrive

This panel portrays the diversity in the sector of indie labels. Tailor-made solutions for different kinds of recording projects.

Over the last decade we have seen quite a lot of panels where labels have talked about the problems of the current market: rising production costs, streaming revenue not compensating the losses from a collapsing CD-market, growing requirements coming from artists and services etc. are considerations, but we can’t do much about it.

During this session, whinging is not allowed. Our panelists will show how they found solutions for a changing market, which allow artists to create exciting projects that are not only determined by playlistability or direct commercial output. While the major players are growing, the independent segment is offering a counter-weight to keep our sector alive and interesting. We need more niches because the niches are actually the pillars of our identity.

Artists, managers and labels are welcome to join the discussion and participate.
