Hong Kong: A Global Hub for Cultural Exchange

Exploring East-meets-West Synergy through Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo

Hong Kong has long been fostering artistic exchange and innovation, its classical music scene a bridge that blends Eastern influences with Western traditions, creating groundbreaking works.

In this session, the Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo (HKPAX) will present itself and celebrate Hong Kong’s cultural leadership and the power of the performing arts to unite and inspire audiences worldwide. Launched in 2024 by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, the landmark event is a global connector that unites 1,600+ arts practitioners from 60+ regions, spanning all performing arts. Returning in 2026, HKPAX will once again bring together artists, producers, and institutions together to celebrate creativity and innovation, showcase cross-cultural collaborations, from symphonic works inspired by Chinese music to tech-driven performances, to redefine “East-meets-West” for the 21st century.
