Project Pitch

Habūb (writings of sand and water)

Habūb (Writings of Sand and Water) is an immersive experience combining sound, live music, video mapping, and performance.

Inspired by the immense sandstorms called haboobs—that bring Saharan sands that fertilize the Amazon—the performance explores the planet’s unseen connections and revisits La Vorágine on its centennial. Through a journey to La Chorrera, La Quinta del Lobo uncovers scars of the rubber genocide and amplifies local voices, reflecting on the jungle as an eternal, exuberant being, larger that life.
