Giorgi Gigashvili is a border crosser: between the clubs of Tbilisi and the international concert stages, he seeks a path between musical worlds. Tonight, he explores his love of the Georgian musical tradition. He confronts piano music from the 18th to 20th centuries, which is influenced by folklore, such as Chopin, with folk-pop songs from Georgia. Nini Nutsubidze, a long-time band colleague from Tbilisi, contributes her velvety, breathy voice.
