dancer and artistic director Roberta Pisu moves freely through the audience, while the Arcis Saxophon Quartett performs from shifting positions, responding to the movement and using the venue’s natural acoustics to shape the sound. The music, mostly written specifically for the collective by a diverse group of young composers from classical, electronic, and jazz backgrounds, is performed on both acoustic saxophones and Aerophones (electronic wind instruments). The performance feels more like a club than a concert hall: direct, physical, energetic. The final piece flows straight into a DJ set dissolving the boundary between performers and audience and inviting everyone onto the dance floor.
